AeroCaster: Can this unit input audio from my smartphone’s mic?
You can input audio from a smartphone mic by enabling the satellite camera mics in the AeroCaster LIVE app ( mute: off).
For details on the volume settings, refer to “Inputting Video from a Satellite Camera (INPUT)” in the AeroCaster LIVE Owner’s Manual.
Discrepancies in audio timing between the satellite cameras and the VRC-01
The audio input from the satellite cameras is delayed in comparison to the audio inputted to the VRC-01. The satellite camera audio and the video are transmitted using the same timing.
- If you need to synchronize the timing of the audio input from the satellite camera and the audio of the VRC-01, use the [LIP SYNC DELAY] knob on the VRC-01 to adjust the amount of delay.
- The amount of delay may fluctuate randomly if you’re having trouble with your wireless signal and network communications are unstable. If you adjust the amount of delay with the [LIP SYNC DELAY] knob and the audio timing still isn’t matching up, check your wireless signal. - If audio latency is a problem, plug the mic directly into the MIC connector on the VRC-01, without using your satellite camera’s mic.
- If the audio and video inputted to the VRC-01 are out of sync, adjust the delay using the AeroCaster LIVE app, or adjust the amount of delay with the [LIP SYNC DELAY] knob on the VRC-01.
