V-02HD MK II: What the CTL/EXP Jack is Used For
The CTL/EXP jack on the V-02HD MK II is used for connecting an expression pedal (such as the EV-5: sold separately) or a footswitch (such as the BOSS FS-6; sold separately) for switching between video sources with your foot.
- Use only the specified expression pedal (Roland EV-5, BOSS FV-500L/FV-500H; sold separately). Connecting any other expression pedals may cause the unit to malfunction or become damaged.
You can assign various functions to the footswitch or expression pedal.
Follow the steps below.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [VALUE] knob to select “12:CTL/EXP,” and press the [VALUE] knob.
- Turn the [VALUE] knob to select “CTL/EXP TYPE,” and press the [VALUE] knob.

Turn the [VALUE] knob to select the device that’s connected to the CTL/EXP jack.

CTL A & CTL B: Select this if you’ve connected a footswitch.

EXP: Select this if you’ve connected an expression pedal.

- Press the [VALUE] knob to confirm.
- Configure each setting according to the device you’ve connected.
Refer to “12:CTL/EXP” in the “Menu List” of the “V-02HD MK II Reference Manual” for the categories and settings that you can configure.
Note: If using the BOSS FS-5U (single switch), this model triggers the CTL B setting. It will not control CTL A.
