V-80HD: SD Card Is Not Recognized
To use an SD card with the V-80HD, it must be formatted. If the SD card is not recognized by the unit, try formatting it on your computer (using SD Memory Card Formatter) and then format it again on the V-80HD.
Note:
- Some SD cards may still not be recognized by the V-80HD, even after following the steps below.
- We recommend using SDXC cards of 64 GB or more, including cards confirmed to work with the V-80HD.
-microSD cards are not supported.
Please follow the steps below.
Note: Formatting will erase all data stored on the SD card. If you have important data, be sure to back it up to your computer or another device beforehand.

- Go to the SD Association website:

* Check the system requirements. - Download and install the SD Memory Card Formatter (for Windows or macOS).
- Insert the SD card into your computer.
* If your computer does not have an SD card slot, use a card reader. - Launch the SD Memory Card Formatter and configure it as follows:
- Card: Select the inserted SD card
- Format Option: Quick Format
Example:
- Click the Format button in the lower right corner.
- When formatting is complete, remove the SD card from your computer.
- Windows: Use "Safely remove hardware in Windows" (Microsoft website)
- macOS: Drag the SD card icon to the trash. Once the icon disappears, you can remove the card from the slot.
- Insert the formatted SD card into the V-80HD and format it as follows:
- [MENU] button > “SD Card/USB Memory” > “SD Card” > “Format”, then press the [VALUE] knob.
- Select “OK” and press the [VALUE] knob to format the SD card.
