V-8HD: How to Set Up and Use Audio Follow Video in your Audio Mix
Audio Follows Video is a great way to automate your audio channel mutes, so you can bring in certain audio channels only when it's associated video is part of the mix.
For example: you have a media player connected to Input 6, but you only want to hear it's audio when it's on Program (PGM) or in a Picture in Picture (PinP) window. By turning on Audio Follows Video for Input 6, that media player is muted whenever it is not part of your video mix, reducing the risk of a clip's audio getting into your audio mix.
