M-400: How to Setup an M-400 as FOH and an M-400 as a Broadcasting Mixer
The following article will guide through setting up an M-400 for FOH and an M-400 as a broadcast mixer receiving audio from the FOH M-400.
The example below will use the FOH M-400's SPLIT/BACKUP port connected to the broadcast M-400's REAC A port.
Notes about the The SPLIT/BACKUP port:
- The SPLIT/BACKUP port is fixed to send the first 8 outputs of the REAC A output network (assigned in the patchbay) and then inputs from REAC A input network followed by REAC B network.
- For example: If an S-1608 (16 input digital snake) is connected to REAC A and an S-1608 is connected to REAC B, then the SPLIT/BACKUP port's outputs would be as follows:
- Outputs 1-8 are sourced from what has been assigned to REAC A out in the patchbay.
- Outputs 9-24 are sourced from the sixteen XLR inputs on the S-1608 connected to REAC A.
- Outputs 25-40 are sourced from the sixteen XLR inputs on the S-1608 connected to REAC B.
REAC CONNECTION
Connect the M-400 SPLIT/BACKUP port to the M-400's REAC A port.
