V-80HD: Why does my HD video (1920 × 1080) change to SD (640 × 480) when output via USB?

The USB cable you are using may not meet USB 3.0 specifications or later. If so, the video output resolution will switch to SD (640 × 480).

When outputting an HD video signal via USB, use a commercially available cable that supports USB 3.0 and connect it to a USB 3.0 port on your computer.

Follow these steps to verify your USB cables' specifications:

  1. Press the [MENU] button > “Video Output” > select “USB Out”, and press the [VALUE] knob.
  2. Use the [VALUE] knob to select “Output Status”, and press the [VALUE] knob.
  3. Check the information displayed under “Output Status”.
