It's important to keep your VR-50HD up to date on it's firmware. Periodically there are releases that optimize your unit or unlock features. We recommend you check the Roland website download sections for the VR-50HD as frequently as you'd like to stay up to date.

Here are the steps to check your version:

1. Press the [MENU] button.
   
   
2. The "MENU" screen will appear.
   
   
3. Touch <Setup> on the monitor.
   
   
4. The "System" screen will appear.
   
   
5. Touch the right arrow displayed at the bottom right of the monitor twice.
   
   
6. The current version is indicated in the "Version" field.
   
   

**NOTE** If this shows the latest version, do not update your VR-50HD.
