When a phrase is recorded on the AR-2000, it will be given a default name consisting of the card name plus the phrase number. It is possible to change the default name, and the new name can contain up to eleven characters.

To change the name for a phrase, use the following procedure:

1. Rotate the SELECT dial to select the phrase you wish to rename.

2. Press the MODE button. The MODE indicator will light.

3. Rotate the SELECT dial to select “1.5 Phrase name set.”

4. Press the SELECT dial.

5. Rotate the SELECT dial to select the desired characters and press the SELECT dial after each selection.

6. Rotate the SELECT dial to move the cursor forward or backward, then press the SELECT dial again to choose the next character. Please note that each name can contain up to eleven characters.

7. When you are finished with inputting the phrase name, rotate the SELECT dial to select “QUIT.”

8. Press the SELECT dial.

9. Rotate the SELECT dial to select “Set.”

10. Press the ENTER button to set the phrase name.

11. Press the MODE button. The MODE indicator will go off.
