It is possible to assign recorded phrases to a MIDI note number on the AR-2000. This allows the appropriate MIDI note-on command to trigger the phrase. Use the following procedure to assign a phrase to a particular MIDI note number:

1. Press MODE. The MODE indicator will light.

2. Use the SELECT dial to select "6.2 MIDI Note Map."

3. Press the SELECT dial.

4. Use the SELECT dial to select the MIDI note number.

5. Press the SELECT dial.

6. Use the SELECT dial to select the desired phrase to be assigned to that note number.

7. Repeat steps 4-5 until all desired phrases have been assigned to MIDI note numbers.

8. When finished, Use the SELECT dial to select "END."

9. Press the SELECT dial.

10. Use the SELECT dial to select "SET." If you select "EXIT," the setting will be canceled

11. Press ENTER. All selected phrases are now assigned to MIDI note numbers.

12. Press MODE. The MODE indicator will go out.
