When necessary, it is possible to alter the interval of time from when the external control signal is received until the time that the phrase is actually played back. This is known as the delay time. Use the following procedure to set or change the delay time:

1. Use the SELECT dial to select the desired phrase.

2. Press MODE. The MODE indicator will light.

3. Use the SELECT dial to select "1.2. Delay Time."

4. Press the SELECT dial.

5. Use the SELECT dial to set the delay time (1 sec-59.9 sec).

6. Press the SELECT dial.

7. Use the SELECT dial to select "SET."

8. Press ENTER.

9. Press MODE. The MODE indicator will go off.
