VC-100UHD System Program ( Ver.1.34 )
HOW TO KNOW THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your VC-100UHD.
- Press the [ SETUP ] button to make the button light up in green.
- Select Root menu "System" -> "Information."
Check the version information that appears on the display.
Executing this update installs the following version. If the version you're using is older, then carry out the update.Version : 1.34

- HDMI RGB and YCbCr 4:4:4 10-bit input and output are now supported. This has achieved high image quality with lossless processing.
- Supported formats such as 720p and 1440p 144Hz have been added.
- An automatic fan control function that adjusts according to the usage environment has been added.
- Swapping the audio C and LFE channels is now supported.

Along with this added functionality, menu items have been modified as described below.
- Fan control

The C and LFE channels can be swapped by selecting "HDMI 4/3" or "SDI 4/3" at the Audio Channel 3/4 item. - HDMI output color spaces added
Root Menu -> Output -> HDMI -> Color SpaceYUV420/8 through 12, YUV422/12, YUV444/8 through 12, RGB Full/8 through 12, RGB Limit/8 through 12 and Auto can be selected.
Because 10-bit internal processing is used, only 10 bits are effective when 12-bit is selected.

Change the specification
- A "password setting" feature has been provided to protect security when operating the VC-100UHD remotely from a computer.
* When performing remote control using VC-100UHD version 1.10 or later, before you start, first set a password.
* The VC-100UHD cannot be operated remotely until a password has been set.
- The following frame rates have been added to SDI 2160p (DCI), SDI 2160p (UHD), HDMI 2160p (DCI), and HDMI 2160p (UHD). 30 Hz, 29.97 Hz, 24 Hz, 23.98 Hz
- The following frame rates have been added to SDI 1080p, HDMI 1080p. 30 Hz, 29.97 Hz

- USB Memory
* The USB Memory need to be formatted on a VC-100UHD.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the VC-100UHD. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Never power-off your VC-100UHD while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the VC-100UHD won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.

Download the file named "vc100uhd_sys_v134.zip".
The downloaded file is an archive file in ZIP format. Double-click it to expand it.
When expansion is complete, the folder vc100uhd_sys_v134 containing the necessary data for installation appears. Inside the folder is the file VC100UHD.PRG.

PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Creating the Update USB Memory

Copy update file VC100UHD.PRG to the root directory of a USB Memory.

- Turn VC-100UHD power OFF.
- Connect USB memory to VC-100UHD's USB HOST port.
- Hold down the [ SETUP ] button and turn on the power.
* Continue to press and hold the button until the message "SYSTEM UPDATE" appears on the display. - Press [ PAGE/CURSOR ] button to start the update process.
- When the message "Update Completed." appears on the display, the update has finished.
* In extremely rare cases, the message "Update Failed" might be displayed. If this appears, turn off the power and repeat the update from step 3. - Detach the USB Memory from the VC-100UHD.
- Press the [ PAGE/CURSOR ] button to restart the VC-100UHD.
