V-80HD System Program ( Ver.1.04 )
HOW TO FIND THE VERSION
Please check the current version of the system program on your V-80HD before downloading the file.
- Press the [MENU] button to display the menu.
- Turn the [VALUE] knob to select "System", then press the [VALUE] knob.
- Turn the [VALUE] knob to select "System Information".
The version information is displayed.
*If the latest version is shown, no update is necessary.

Additional Functions
The following problems have been fixed.
- Version 1.0.0 of the V-80HD RCS dedicated remote control software for Windows/macOS is now supported.
Please refer to "V-80HD RCS Connection Guide" for details. - Version 1.0.0 of the V-80HD Remote dedicated control app for the iPad is now supported.
Please refer to "V-80HD Remote Connection Guide" for details. - The internal processing for PinP & Key and DSK chroma key compositing has been improved, and background color can now be passed more accurately.
The "Value Fine" and "Value Width" parameters for fine-grained adjustment have been added. - A function has been added to remove background color near the border in PinP & Key and DSK chroma key compositing.
Setting Despill to "ON" enables you to remove bleeding background color near the border with the transparent portion. - Copy, Swap, and Initialize functions have been added to Assignable Pads.
- SRT In has been added to the Tally Channel menu item for Camera Control.
- For settings such as Wipe Border Color, color samples are now displayed on the menu.
- Some translations have been improved.
- The default values of some parameters have been changed.
- Menu organization and layout has been revised.
The following problems have been fixed.
- In rare cases, SDI OUT fails to be output.
- With Stream&Record, operating only Audio Rec results in failure to end correctly.
- When Stereo Link for Audio In 1 or 2 is enabled, The R-channel Compressor fails to function correctly.
- When the unit is restarted with Stereo Link for Audio In 1 or 2 in an enabled state, R-channel audio settings are not updated correctly.
- When Split is used while the Panel Operation setting is "A/B," the video assigned to the A and B buses is sometimes switched.
- When the Panel Operation setting is "A/B" or "PGM/PST (16)," the Effects Transition Sync setting cannot be changed.
- When a setting is changed from "Use Web Application" at the SRT In or SRT Out screen, the setting sometimes fails to be applied.
- Setting Language to a value other than "English" results in some menu item names being displayed differently from their actual names.
- Fade In Time and Fade Out Time for Audio Player fail to function correctly.
- When Number of MACRO Button is set to "24," pressing a PGM or PST button sometimes results in incorrect functioning.
- When Number of MEMORY Button or Number of MACRO Button is set to "24," panel lock fails to function correctly.
- Other minor bug fixes.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE UPDATE
- V-80HD
- USB flash drive
*When using a USB flash drive for the first time, you must format it using the V-80HD.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the V-80HD. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Never power-off your V-80HD while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the V-80HD won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program.
DOWNLOADING AND UNARCHIVING THE COMPRESSED FILE
- Read the software license agreement at the bottom of the screen and select the "I agree" check box.
- Click the "Download" button to download the system program (v80hd_sys_v104.zip).
- Unarchive the downloaded file.
- Windows :Right-click the file and select "Extract All", then click "Extract".
- macOS: Double-click the file to unzip it.
-The "v80hd_sys_v104" folder appears.
- Connect the USB flash drive formatted with V-80HD to your computer.
- Open the "v80hd_sys_v104" folder, then copy "V-80HD.PRG" to the level displayed immediately upon accessing the USB flash drive (the USB flash drive's root directory).
*DO NOT rename the file (V-80HD.PRG) in the folder.
UPDATE PROCEDURE
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB HOST port.
- Hold down the [DSK PGM] button, [PinP & KEY 1 PGM] button, and [PinP & KEY 2 PGM] button and turn on the power.
-Keep pressing and holding the three buttons until their LEDs light up. - When the display shows "SYSTEM UPDATE PRESS [ENTER]", press the [VALUE] knob.
-The update starts.
* The update takes about two minutes.
* Never power-off your V-80HD while the update is in progress. - When the display shows "UPDATE COMPLETED PLEASE RESTART", press the [POWER] button to turn off the power.
- Disconnect the USB flash drive from the USB HOST port.
- Turn on the power, and verify that the V-80HD updated to the latest version.
* At the time of the first startup after updating, update processing is performed. The LEDs might go dark or the fan might turn at high speed, but these are not malfunctions. Please wait until the unit starts.
