HOW TO KNOW THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your V-800HD MK II.
- While holding down [ OUTPUT FADE ], turn power ON.
* Continue holding down OUTPUT FADE until the version information appears on the Seven-Segment LED display. - The version will be displayed at the center on the screen.
- Turn power OFF.

Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
- When the unit is restarted while the Output Fade Mode is set to "Output Freeze," the still image fails to be loaded correctly at startup.
- The color of DVI-D/HDMI input sometimes has blown-out highlights.
- When changing the PGM/PVW assignment during Multiview Output, executing Output Freeze or Output Capture returns the PGM/PVW assignment to its default setting.
- When changing the PGM/PVW assignment during Multiview Output, the test pattern Frame (PVW) setting is displayed in the PGM section.
- Test Pattern display response has been improved.
Additional Functions
- A parameter was added for swapping the PGM and PVW positions in multi-view output.
You can use System > Multiview PGM Position to swap the positions. - It is now possible to select the signal sent to the AUX bus when the [AUX 10] button is selected.
You can use System > AUX10 Key Assign to make the setting.
Crosspoint10 : Background or Still image (default) is sent to AUX output.* Selecting AUX10 while set to Mixer Output makes the [AUX 10] button light up in yellow.
Mixer Output : Mixer output is sent to AUX output.
* When AUX10 Key Assign is set to Mixer Output, "DSK/External Key" is disabled.
- The adjustment unit has been changed from "1%" steps to "0.1%" steps.

- Output > Main > Scaling Zoom
- PinP > PinP Size
- PinP > PinP Position H

- PinP > View Zoom
* For Output > RGB/Component and for SD > Scaling > Zoom, the unit of adjustment is unchanged from the existing "1%" steps.
- The unit of adjustment has been changed from "%" to "Dot" steps.

- A total of 15 types of test patterns have been added.
You can use System > Test Pattern to set this. - Switching AUX source via external control is now supported.
You can use the [stx]AUX;a; command to change the value of AUX Source.
a = 0(Mixer Input), 1(Mixer Output), 2(DSK Source), 3(DSK Output), 4(Input Ch.1), 5(Input Ch.2) ... 13(Input Ch.10)
* When DSK/DSK PVW is set to ON, or when in the External Key mode, settings for Input Ch.1(4) through Input Ch.10(13) cannot be made.

- When Wipe Pattern Direction is set to Reverse and the PGM/PST channel is changed while the T-bar is stopped partway through its stroke, the channel fails to change correctly.
- When the Wipe Pattern is changed while the T-bar is stopped partway through its stroke, the change fails to be applied immediately.

- The video picture sometimes fails to display on some monitors connected to the HDMI OUT connector (MULTI-VIEW).
- Multi-view labels sometimes fail to display correctly.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE

- USB Memory
* Before you start, use a computer to format the device using the FAT32 file system.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "v800hdmk2_sys_v151.zip" file on your computer to get the update file named "V-800HD2.PRG" in the "v800hdmk2_sys_v151" folder.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the V-800HD MK II. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Never power-off your V-800HD MK II while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the V-800HD MK II won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Creating the Update USB Memory

- Copy update files V-800HD2.PRG to the root directory of a USB Memory.
Update Procedure
- Connect USB memory to V-800HD MK II's USB port. Turn the power on with pressing [ PinP1 ] + [ PinP4 ] + [ EXIT ] buttons.
- Release the buttons after displaying "Upd" on the Seven-Segment LED display under [ TRANSITION ].
- Push the [ ENTER ] button after " . "(dot) stops blinking on the Seven-Segment LED display. Then the update process will start.
- The " OK " will be displayed on the Seven-Segment LED display when the update process is completed.
- Turn the power off and un-mount the USB memory from V-800HD MK II.
- When updating from a version earlier than 1.50, initialization (a factory reset) is carried out at the first startup after the update.
Wait a short while for the unit to start normally.
* Be sure never turn off the power while the initialization (factory reset) is in progress.
