The software version of V-1200HD must be matched with V-1200HDR version.

Please check the version of the system working on your V-1200HDR before downloading the archive file.

1. Connect the V-1200HDR to the V-1200HD using a LAN cable.
   When communication is established between the V-1200HDR and the V-1200HD, the LINK indicator on the top panel lights up.
2. You can check the version of the system program by going to the ROOT MENU screen and selecting CONTROL SURFACE <SETUP> -> "VERSION."

* Don't perform the update if the product is already up-to-date.

• Compatible with the V-1200HD Ver.1.15.

Following items are required to perform the update.

• V-1200HDR itself
• PC to write the updater to the USB Flash Memory
• USB Flash Memory ( Roland's M-UF2G is recommended )
  * Memory already formatted as FAT32 using a computer
  * If the V-1200HDR does not recognize the USB flash memory, try using a different USB memory.

Download the file named "v1200hdr_sys_132.zip".
It is an archive file in zip format, please double click on the file to expand. After expanding the file, the folder "v1200hdr_sys_132" holding the file "V-1200HDR.PRG" will be appeared.

Please install the system program "V-1200HDR.PRG" to the V-1200HDR by following the process below.
Important notice: Never turn the V-1200HDR off during the update process, or V-1200HDR won't reboot correctly any more.
* The update procedure differs depending on the version currently in use.

If Using Ver.1.08

1. Copy the update-use file ( V-1200HDR.PRG ) to the root directory of the USB Flash Memory.
2. Turn the power on with pressing [ COMPOSITION 1 ] + [ M/E 1 ] + [ AUX 1 ] buttons.
   When the message "Connect USB memory and press ENTER to execute." is displayed, the V-1200HDR has entered the Update Mode.
   * It takes about one minute for this process.
3. Connect the USB flash memory to the USB port on the front panel.
   Wait about 30 seconds for the USB flash memory to be securely recognized.
4. Press [ ENTER ] button to start the update process.
   * The update process takes 1 minutes to finish. Be sure never to switch off the power before the operation finishes.
   * If the message "ERROR_END" appears on the display, follow the sequence shown below to interrupt the update, then carry out the update again from "Step 2."
   
   1. Turn off the power to the V-1200HDR.
   2. Detach the USB flash memory.
5. When the message "Complete" is displayed, the operation has finished. (You will take about 1 minute to update.)
6. Switch off the power.
7. Detach the USB flash memory.
8. Turn the power on with pressing [ COMPOSITION 1 ] + [ M/E 1 ] + [ AUX 1 ] buttons again.
   When the message "Connect USB memory and press ENTER to execute." is displayed, the V-1200HDR has entered the Update Mode.
   * It takes about one minute for this process.
9. Connect the USB flash memory to the USB port on the front panel.
   Wait about 30 seconds for the USB flash memory to be securely recognized.
10. Press [ ENTER ] button to start the update process.
    * The update process takes 1 minutes to finish. Be sure never to switch off the power before the operation finishes.
    * If the message "ERROR_END" appears on the display, follow the sequence shown below to interrupt the update, then carry out the update again from "Step 8."
    
    1. Turn off the power to the V-1200HDR.
    2. Detach the USB flash memory.
11. When the message "Complete" is displayed, the operation has finished. (You will take about 1 minute to update.)
12. Switch off the power.
13. Detach the USB Flash Memory, then switch on the power to the unit and verify that the version has been updated.

If Using Ver.1.10 / Ver.1.15 / Ver.1.20 / Ver.1.30

1. Copy the update-use file ( V-1200HDR.PRG ) to the root directory of the USB Flash Memory.
2. Turn the power on with pressing [ COMPOSITION 1 ] + [ M/E 1 ] + [ AUX 1 ] buttons.
   When the message "Connect USB memory and press ENTER to execute." is displayed, the V-1200HDR has entered the Update Mode.
   * It takes about one minute for this process.
