V-1200HD System Program Version 1.43
This system program updates your V-1200HD to the latest version 1.43.
IMPORTANT NOTE
After updating your V-1200HD, you should also update your V-1200HDR and V-1200HD RCS.
The V-1200HD, V-1200HDR and V-1200HD RCS should have the same version.

How to tell the version
Please check the version of the system working on your V-1200HD before downloading the archive file.
- Connect a monitor to the HDMI OUT MULTI-VIEW 2 connector.
The setup menu appears on the monitor connected to HDMI OUT MULTI-VIEW 2. - Press [ MENU ] to invoke the menu screen.
- Use the [DEC] [INC] buttons to choose System, and then press the [ ENTER ] button.
The version information screen appears.

The following bugs were fixed.
- Several samples were out of sync between audio channels.
- In AUDIO PATCHBAY on the V-1200HDR, different channels could not be selected on dual monitors.
- Changing FRAME RATE using PROCESSOR SETUP resulted in the display colors of INPUT HDMI 3/4 for MULTI-VIEW 2 failing to be reproduced correctly.
- Inputting a 480i DVI signal to HDMI 3/4 disrupted the screen's aspect ratio.

Items to prepare for the update
Following items are required to perform the update.
- V-1200HD itself
- PC to write the updater to the USB Flash Memory
- USB Flash Memory ( Roland's M-UF2G is recommended )
* Memory already formatted as FAT32 using a computer
* If the V-1200HD does not recognize the USB flash memory, try using a different USB memory.
How to download and expand the archive file
Download the file named "v1200hd_sys132.zip".
After expansion, v1200hd_sys_110 and v1200hd_sys_132 folders containing the data necessary for installation appear, with the file V-1200HD.PRG inside each.

How to update
Please install the system program "V-1200HD.PRG" to the V-1200HD by following the process below.
Important notice: Never turn the V-1200HD off during the update process, or V-1200HD won't reboot correctly any more.
* The update procedure differs depending on the version currently in use.
If Using Ver.1.08

- Connect a monitor to the HDMI OUT MULTI-VIEW 2 connector.
- Copy the update-use file ( V-1200HD.PRG ) inside the v1200hd_sys_110 folder to the root directory of the USB Flash Memory.
- Turn the power on with pressing [ ENTER ] and [ INC ] buttons.
When the message "Press ENTER to execute." is displayed, the V-1200HD has entered the Update Mode.
* It takes about one minute for this process. - Connect the USB flash memory to the USB port on the front panel.
Wait about 30 seconds for the USB flash memory to be securely recognized. - Press [ ENTER ] button to start the update process.
* The update process takes 30 minutes to finish. Be sure never to switch off the power before the operation finishes.
* The indication shown on the display might stay unchanged for a long interval, but the update remains in progress.
* If the message "ERROR_END" appears on the display, follow the sequence shown below to interrupt the update, then carry out the update again from "Step 3."
1. Turn off the power to the V-1200HD.
2. Detach the USB flash memory. - When the message "Complete" is displayed, the operation has finished. (You will take about 30 minute to update.)
- Detach the USB flash memory.
- (After detaching the USB flash memory) Again hold down the [ ENTER ] button and the [ INC ] button and turn on the power.
Wait for the message "Connect USB memory and press ENTER to execute." to appear on the monitor (time required: approx. 1 minute).
* Do not press the [ ENTER ] button. - Without performing any operation, turn off the power to the V-1200HD.
[ Update to Ver.1.32 ]
- Connect a monitor to the HDMI OUT MULTI-VIEW 2 connector.
- Copy the update-use file ( V-1200HD.PRG ) inside the v1200hd_sys_132 folder to the root directory of the USB Flash Memory.
- Turn the power on with pressing [ ENTER ] and [ INC ] buttons.
