P-20HD System Program ( Ver.1.11 )
HOW TO KNOW THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your P-20HD.
- Turn on the power to the unit.
- Press [ MENU ].
- Turn the [ VALUE ] knob to select System, then press the [ VALUE ] knob.
- Turn the [ VALUE ] knob to scroll the screen.
Version is displayed on the screen.

[ Functionality Improvements ]
- The precision of the timing has been improved for output switching and clip playback during CLIP playback using AUTO PLAY.
- The frame rate for a project is now displayed in the title bar for the project screen (New, Open, or Project Utility).

- During PLAYLIST playback in PALETTE, the pad being played back does not light up.
- The lighted state of the pad is not refreshed when a clip has been deleted.
- Video sometimes flickers during a transition in PLAYLIST playback.
- Because it sometimes becomes impossible to close a project correctly when a date and time setting has been made while the project remains open, projects were closed before setting the date and time.
- When a project name has been changed, the project name on the screen displaying the project list (Open or Project Utility) is sometimes not yet updated.
- The clip length displayed at when a MAKE CLIP operation has been performed at the LIVE IN time is longer than the actual clip length.
- Minor bugs have been fixed.

[ Additional Functions ]
- An annotation function has been added that lets you add handwritten notes to videos.
* Please refer to the List of pen tablets compatible with the P-20HD annotation function. - Rearranging clips (CLIP LIST/PALETTE/AUDIO/STILL) is now accommodated.
- An auto-marker function has been added that automatically adds bookmarks at set time intervals during recording.

- Now, when a clip lacking a thumbnail is selected using a pad, the thumbnail is created.
- A bookmark is now automatically added when additional recording is started.

- P-20HD
- AC Adapter
- Personal Computer equipped with USB connector
- USB Memory
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Download the file named "p20hd_sys_v111.zip."
The downloaded file is an archive file in zip format. Right-click to select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
After expanding the file, the folder "p20hd_sys_v111" holding the file "P20HD_UPDATE.BIN" will appear.

PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
[ Caution ]
- You must not rename the extracted files.
- Never turn off the P-20HD's power while the update is in progress.
Creating the Update USB Memory
- Using the personal computer, format the USB memory device as FAT16 or FAT32.
- Copy P20HD_UPDATE.BIN to the USB memory device's root directory (the level displayed immediately after opening the device).
Update Procedure
- With the power to the unit turned off, connect the USB memory device just described to the USB connector.
- Hold down [ REC ] and pad [ 1 ] and turn on the power.
- When [ UPDATE ] is displayed on the screen, release your fingers.
After a short interval, the current version and the version of the system program copied in the USB memory device are displayed, and then [ MENU ] flashes. - Press [ MENU ].
When [ MENU ] is pressed, the update starts. Pads [ 1 ] through [ 4 ] light up in sequence.
When [ Update completed. ] is displayed on the screen, the update has finished. - Turn off the power. And detach the USB Memory from the P-20HD.
This completes the update operation. The new system program runs at the next startup.
Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated.
